Freelance creative strategist & comms planner who believes in the power of imagination in marketing.
Hello!
I’m Daniel, or DDC as I’m referred to. I’m a seasoned creative strategist with over 12-years agency experience, and I’ve also launched two businesses myself. Over my career I have helped brands big and small - from Google to Dollar Shave Club - understand how they can cut-through with big ideas at the heart of their marketing strategy. And that’s my type of strategy - bold, creative and disruptive.
What makes me different?
I’m a big believer that we’ve over complicated things. Strategy should be simple and directional, but above all it should focus on outcomes.
Consumers are served over 3,000 messages a-day! That’s insane and brands can’t view their comms in isolation. The way I see strategy is by looking at how a brand can find a different and disruptive way to answer their challenge - so it not just pays back but customers also remember it! And this isn’t marketing BS, you can see examples below that capture the way I think and use strategy, and it’s exactly why I started the Raspberry Ripple collective.
Disruptive & Different Work
The following are snippets of some of my creative approaches to clients challenges. Click the icons to read.
Making a low interest, but important product, engaging to a new and younger audience.
Standing out ahead of competitors on a fraction of the budget to promote the new range.
Putting Google at the heart of the UK’s post Covid recovery by helping those that need it most.
Taking a deliberately focused and emotional approach to winning over ambivalent consumers.
My CV
I’ve held a variety of strategic and creative positions, for a variety of clients across the category spectrum. From supermarkets, to telcos and banking to tech , and many more in between. I’ve been responsible for 3 year strategic plans to implementational ideas that cut through.
In addition, I’ve also launched three start-ups, one in publishing, one tech platform and now Raspberry Ripple which is already working with some well-known SME’s.
I’m based in London, and happy to travel within the UK when required.
